I love summertime in Brighton

The rain finally took a break yesterday and let the sun take centre stage, so we took advantage of the great weather and met up with some friends. We met outside the library in town and discovered a brilliant pop-up bar/venue by Hendrick’s where we had a quick tipple before making our way down to the seafront. We soaked up the sun and some brilliant live music at one of our favourite haunts, Brighton Music Hall. If you ever make it down there look out for Disco Pete , he’s legend in these parts and a very brilliant if not unique dancer.

Once we were well and truly baked – i.e we all got burnt, when will we learn? – we headed off for a wander through the lanes and stopped off for one of the best bagels in Brighton at Bagelman. I highly recommend the Rueben –┬ápastrami, swiss, tomatoes, dill pickle, mustard – delicious! We washed these down later with cupcakes from the Angel Food bakery. I had the carrot cupcake, which was amazing. The little piece of pineapple in the sponge were a surprisingly wonderful treat. In short we had a great weekend – thanks girls – and hope you did too.
